You might also get a bit more help in the OpenLDAP interoperability list
<ldap-interop at fini.net> where general questions are welcomed.
As Magnus said, you need to do a bit of background reading first. There
is a lot of information on the web about LDAP and some of it is correct
and helpful.
Don't even try try the OpenLDAP forums until you have OpenLDAP installed
and can restrict your questions to bugs or configuration issues. They
are very strict about the types of questions that can be asked.
