[LDAP-interop] SASL/DIGEST-MD5 on IBM Directory Server 5.2 from a non-IBM client

Hi,

I have installed IBM Directory Server 5.2 with the last Fix Pack. I can 
authenticate using SASL/DIGEST-MD5 with the IBM command line LDAP tools. 
But when I use the OpenLDAP command line tools, I get a "protocol 
error". I got the same error when I use the Novell client API in my 
software.

My problem is that I don't plan to use the IBM LDAP client API, and my 
software needs to authenticate on IBM DS using DIGEST-MD5.

So the question is : has anyone succeeded in using DIGEST-MD5 on IBM DS 
from another client than the IBM one ?
