[LDAP-interop] Working combination of packages

I am going to build a mail server with LDAP.
In reading the documentation, there is a bit of conflict in the Open 
LDAP documentation. The www site calls for the latest version of 
Berkeley but the README on the distribution calls for Berkeley 4.2 (but 
does not mention patches)

Does anyone have any comments on the following software set?
OpenLDAP 2.3.11
OpenSLL 0.9.8
SASL 2.1.21
Berkeley 4.3.29

This is the latest of each. The Berkeley stuff is notoriously poor 
regarding upwards compatibility, so I would be most interested in 
hearing from anyone who has tried 4.3 with software that previously ran 
with 4.2.
